Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting

HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting is a new course for educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to response to a First Aid emergency.

This course is conducted over two days with a total course hours of 16.5 hours.

The course covers a range of First Aid management contextualized to children.

The Statement of Attainment includes:

  • HLTAID001 Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
  • HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting

The assessment includes:

  • Completing a casualty report as part of the practical scenario.

Participants must be over 14 years of age to successfully complete St John Accredited Training Courses. It is also recommended to call prior to booking, if a participant is between 14 to 17 years old to confirm they will be able to meet the assessment criteria.
