Winter Appeal

A little baby had stopped breathing

It was panic stations at a well known night market in January this year when our volunteers got the call. A four-month old baby had stopped breathing and had turned blue. Our on-duty volunteers rushed to the scene. Immediate CPR was applied.

How a life was saved

Within two minutes, the baby began to respond. The baby's life was saved. The experience that night is a classic example of how our volunteers save lives. But training and equipping volunteers all around the state costs money and we cannot continue our work without your help.

How you can help?

As a not-for-profit organisation we can't continue on our own. You can play your part in our vital community work by giving now. Please donate today to help St John saves lives like we saved that baby's life at the night market. It costs St John $506 to recruit, $390 to train and $309 to equip each of our volunteers.
